Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Rise does not collect any personal information. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any identifying details to use the app.

All data you create within the app (your goals, habits, todos, progress logs, and settings) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's CoreData framework and standard device storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device through our systems.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only:

• Goals, habits, and todos you create, along with their names, schedules, and any associated colors or icons you choose
• Daily progress logs and completion history for your goals and habits
• Your daily streak count, streak freeze usage, and milestone records
• App preferences such as appearance mode (light, dark, or system) and task ordering
• Notification preferences and reminder times you configure
• Your onboarding completion status and first launch date

This data is managed entirely by iOS and is subject to Apple's standard device security, including encryption at rest when your device is locked.

3. In-App Purchases

Rise offers optional in-app purchases (such as a Pro upgrade and streak freezes) processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle, store, or have access to your payment information. All billing and transaction data is managed by Apple.

We only store a local flag on your device indicating whether a purchase has been made, for the purpose of unlocking features. This flag is never transmitted to us.

4. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Rise schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device by iOS. They are not routed through any server and do not involve transmitting your data anywhere.

You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app's settings or in your device's iOS Settings app.

5. Third-Party Services

Rise does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service the app communicates with is Apple's App Store infrastructure for in-app purchase verification, which is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework.

We do not use:

• Analytics tools (such as Firebase, Amplitude, or Mixpanel)
• Crash reporting services (such as Crashlytics or Sentry)
• Advertising networks or ad tracking of any kind
• Social media integrations
• Any other third-party data processors

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third parties. We do not have access to your data in the first place. Your information never leaves your device through us.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data persists on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete individual items (goals, habits, todos) within the app at any time.

To delete all app data, simply delete Rise from your device. iOS will remove all associated local storage, including CoreData entries and UserDefaults, when the app is uninstalled. We have no copy of this data and cannot recover it once deleted.

8. Children's Privacy

Rise does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted by us, the app is consistent with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect or process your personal data, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All your data resides on your own device under your control.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As we collect no personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. There is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end.

10. Security

All data is stored locally on your device and benefits from iOS's built-in security features, including device passcode encryption and data protection APIs. We recommend keeping your device updated and secured with a passcode or biometric lock.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy (for example, if a future version of the app introduces any new data practices), we will update this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify users within the app. Continued use of the app after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
